My Journey…

Make no mistake, food addiction is as real as alcohol or drug addiction. It can be inherited genetically or happen as a consequence of life experiences. The food industry engineers our processed “frankenfoods” with chemicals and sweeteners that literally addict people to foods. Then the drug industry convinces us that, if we just take this or that drug, we can lose weight and be “healthy”. My friends, despite what our current society says, weighing less does NOT equal health.

As a Nationally Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach, I want to help you illuminate the reasons you can’t stop eating. I will support you in taking concrete steps to overcome the disease of compulsive overeating. We will discuss the true markers of health and, if you follow through on the steps, you too have the potential to come out the other side stronger than you can imagine.

I am currently in recovery from food addiction and I can attest that, while it has been a journey, it has been pivital in me “getting real” with myself and being honest about my eating. I’m not going to tell you it was easy, but through this process I have been able to get my life back and have a confidence I have never known. If you can relate to this, I would really like to speak with you about how you can help yourself.

Every person is capable of making significant change in their life!

Change is hard! The process of making changes in life is fraught with ups and downs, good days and bad. In coaching, we focus on the positives and how, even when we fall, what matters is that we get back up! Making change is a cycle and not a straight path…

Every person, with the right encouragement, has the answers inside of them!

As a Health Coach, my role is not to instruct or tell you what to do. I am here to listen, challenge and, when necessary, provide education. Based on your goals, I will help you develop and implement a plan and be your cheerleader throughout the change cycle.

Every person, no matter their size, is beautiful!

In this day and age, being thin is synonymous with being healthy. This is not the case! People of all shapes and sizes are beautiful and can be healthy. In coaching, we do not focus on weight, but on the pillars of health and numbers that really matter…not the scale.
